Dr Łukasz Żelechowski 







Assistant Professor (adiunkt) at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw, Department of Intellectual Property Law; Dr iur. (University of Warsaw, 2009), Polish qualified patent attorney, Arbitrator at the Arbitration Court for Domain Names at the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications.

He specializes in intellectual property law and civil law. His publications mainly focus on issues of trademark law, law on combating unfair competition, international and European industrial property law. Author of the books: “Ustalenie szkody majątkowej wyrządzonej naruszeniem prawa ochronnego na znak towarowy w prawie niemieckim i polskim” [Assessment of damages caused by a trademark infringement in German and Polish law] (2004) and “Zastaw zwykły i rejestrowy na prawach własności przemysłowej” [Ordinary and registered pledge over industrial property rights] (2011). Co-author of the commentary to the Polish Civil Code, (edited by K. Osajda, C.H. Beck, [2013]). Co-author of the textbook on industrial property law (P. Kostański, Ł. Żelechowski, Prawo własności przemysłowej, C.H. Beck [2014]).

Scholarship holder at the Max-Planck-Institute for Intellectual Property and Competition Law in Munich (2007), Visiting professor at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law (2012, lectures on International Industrial Property Law). His doctoral dissertation on ordinary and registered pledge over industrial property rights received the award of the Polish Minister of Science and Higher Education in the annual competition organized by the Polish Patent Office (2009).
